One of my favorite beach stretches from Paia to the airport area. Great spots for old and young .
Beautiful and long beach. Water and beach is clean. Good for swimming, surfing and body surfing. Lifeguards are present. Showers and restrooms on the site. Free parking. Close to boutiques, cafés, and restaurants in Paia center. Good place to go alone, with friends and family.
This was our least favorite beach near Paia. The waves were so strong and full of sand and rock that it wasn't very enjoyable. If we had braved it and moved much further our, maybe it would have been better. Go to Baby Beach instead. It's a perfect swimming beach-- secluded, soft sand, and has a natural barrier that breaks the waves.
Super-beautiful beach! the end closer to the airport is highly recommended. The water is pretty shallow and the sand is nice and clean. If you have kids, always have an eye on them and be with them in the water as the currents are strong in some spots
Great clean beach, restrooms available, when we went there it was very windy and raining a little bit. Waves were heavy so great spot to just swim and ride the waves (however don't leave the kids in there!!! Waves were aggressive and the sea floor had many small rocks so could cause injury) . One thing I would say is that it was very very sandy, I got the sand literally filling all my swimming trunk pockets! The gate closes at 7 pm, so make sure to drive out before then
